Using a Pendulum, the basics.

A pendulum can be made or purchased. If you purchase one, make sure you take the time in choosing the correct one. You can use your intuition to choose the proper one, or pick the pendulum up and "feel" it. Hold it by the end and let weighted end hang down. Stay as still as you can. Ask the pendulum out loud or silently in your mind to show you a "yes" and then ask to show a "no". Usually one response swings right to left and the other swings to and from you. You might get a circle too. If the responses are strong, the pendulum most likely will work well for you. Or once you establish a yes and no response, you can ask the pendulum "is it for you and does it want you to purchase it".

If you chose to make one, you might get the best pendulum you ever had. By taking the time to design one and put it together it you will have a much better connection to it. Use something about the width of nickel or quarter. Not to big or small, but enough weight to move. Metal, stone, glass and crystal objects are the best to use. Avoid plastic or wood, although they just might work for you. A ring is great, especially if you wear it a lot. Make a string or thread about 8 to 12 inches long with the object attached to the end. If the string is too short, it will inhibit the swing.

Now it is time to use it. First, connect with your pendulum like you would s friend. Introduce yourself, say hello, ask permission to "use" it for your greater good. This is just about respecting the object and Spirit, who will be moving the pendulum to communicate to you.

Phrasing the question is the most important thing. You must make sure you think about it first and then say or think a question that will have ONLY a yes or no response. Trust me, you will learn very quickly how to initiate a question once you start doubting the answers.

Most get very excited in the first few moments of asking simple questions, because the pendulum starts to swing and they know they are NOT moving it. A fun experiment to do is ask a person to make a statement and ask you if it is true "yes" or false "no". This should be a statement that YOU don't know the answer too. Then find out if the pendulum was correct or not. Sometimes a simple shift in definition of which swing means yes or no.

All One or Good & Evil?

I was reminded by Spirit of something I read in one of my psychic books. The author was saying that you had to come to grips with one of two things. Either you believe that all energy was from the same place OR that there was good energy and bad energy, two opposing forces.
I used to believe there was a heaven and hell, or God and the Devil. But something happened along my journey. I came to believe that we, and all there is came from, and comes from, the same loving source... Spirit!
I know that was what I came to believe but NOW it was right there in my face, in print, and I had to REALLY acknowledge the fact that we all work together for the good of the human race.

BUT what about all the "bad things that happen" here on earth? The moment I thought of this question I was once again reminded of my college days watching Jesus Christ Superstar, the broadway musical. I was attending a Christian University and was chastised by a few for going to see the musical. They said that the musical was labeled "blasphemy" in the 70's. I could see why, but personally didn't think it was, I was already evolving and beginning to become more open and enlightened. During the musical I remember thinking how bad I felt for Judas. Which was not "typical" for a Christian to feel "bad" for the man who betrayed "the Lord and Savior" of the world.
I kept thinking that Judas HAD to do what he did to fulfill what was "supposed" to happen in Jesus' life plan. For His life and message to become SO powerful, whether you subscribe to His teachings or not, this had to happen in some way or another.
I kept thinking if Judas didn't betray Christ, then someone else would have to. SO I thought "Judas is kind of a hero". THAT thought was hard to take being in the midst of my own journey, which was DEEP in Christianity.
With all the above thoughts and questions still running through my mind, I have not come to any HARD conclusion. I know and do believe there is ONE source and somehow everything comes from that place to here. The details are still yet to be determined. And I think WE, on this earth plane, probably couldn't really grasp it all just yet.

The Gift

Hello to you all. Welcome to my first of many posts.
In my daily Tarot card post today on facebook, I was prompted to say how all this metaphysical stuff we are learning will come in handy as the earth changes more and more.
As the earth and our lives change the things we are accustomed to will change too. If we want to have a pleasant existence and make it through without great loss and pain then now is the time to start tapping into our intuitive side and all the tools that we have at our disposal. Simple things like using a pendulum will become very important as we tread along our paths. Connecting with angles or guides or what ever you choose to call those "non-human" beings around us, will also prove to be a great advantage.
Those of us who are already connected will find protection and peace while the earth moves and shifts around us. We will be sought after from friends and family and even businesses to "do what we do" and help them cope and give guidance.

Start off with meditation to find what "area" you should start in if you are new. My first tool was Tarot cards and now I am finding myself moving away from using them in private sessions. But I am getting a lot of students for this tool.
